This short HOWTO explains how to get this amazing feeling using custom HiDPI scaled resolution on amazing ultrawide screen from LG.
As far as I know you will need a Macbook Pro with dedicated graphic card (sorry, 13″ folks But! If you have one – please give it a try and let me know in the comments, maybe it does work! )
First, get a SwitchResX from here. It’s not the cheapest tool, costing 14 euroes, but, it does provide a free trial, so, if it works, and you see this amazing resolution massaging your eyes, I think you won’t think twice about paying a little extra on top of how much you’ve already spent on your display (or displays).
Install it, run it, click on 34UM95 on the left side, go to “Custom Resolutions”, create one, scaled like this:
“Ok” it, save it (cmd + s), reboot your mac.
Now, when it turns on again, go to SwitchResX again, and choose this option:
Enjoy the beautiness
